DESCRIPTION:Arlington Democrats are invited to attend a caucus on Monday\, May 5\, 2025\, at 7:00 p.m. to elect 36 delegates and 6 alternates to the 2025 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. \nThe caucus will take place in the Community Room of Robbins Library\, 700 Massachusetts Ave. \nDoors will open at 6:30 p.m.\, and we encourage attendees to arrive early. Everyone who arrives by 7:15 p.m. will be admitted. \nAt this year’s state convention\, to be held Saturday\, September 13th\, 2025\, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield\, MA\, thousands of Democrats from across the state will come together to adopt a party platform. For information about the current platform\, visit https://www.massdems.org/our-platform. \nThe caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Arlington. Pre-registered Democrats who are 16 by March 29\, 2025\, will be welcome to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. \nYouth (age 16 to 35)\, veterans\, minorities\, people with disabilities\, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or by visiting massdems.org. \nDelegates and alternates will be divided equally between men and women\, except that candidates whose gender identity is non-binary can run for delegate without needing to classify themselves as male or female.
